Four Organizations with Hundreds of Green Volunteering Opportunities

Four Organizations with Hundreds of Green Volunteering Opportunities

By St. Conti Communications Staff

Volunteering is a fabulous way to give back to the Earth and her inhabitants. Get involved in ongoing projects that benefit the planet and the people who live here.

Need an opportunity close to home? No problem. Looking for an adventure abroad? These four organizations provide hundreds of opportunities to volunteer to improve our Earth.

The Nature Conservancy – “Get outside and explore the waters, trails and landscapes that make up Nature’s playground.”

The Nature Conservancy is the world’s leading conservation organization. Launched in 1951, it celebrates every day as Earth Day.

The organization shares opportunities for service in communities near and far. Work with trees, people, animals, water, ideas, farming and more. Ongoing projects in all 50 states and more than 70 countries worldwide. Countless opportunities for you to help.

The Conservancy’s Adopt-An-Acre project makes it easy to impact the environment. A gift sustains a single acre of vulnerable land, water, and natural resources. Founded in 1991, the program has protected over 600,000 acres of vital landscapes.

Many other programs exist for volunteers as well. Plant trees, clean up waterways, and help to educate others. You can impact climate change, advocate for rainforests, and protect endangered animals. There are just too many opportunities to list. Check out their website: https://www.nature.org for more information and to volunteer.

  • Volunteer Alliance – Volunteer by contacting organizations in 50+ countries directly and requesting to volunteer in four easy steps.
